JustEdu team members Ralitsa Dimitrova and Asen Dimitrov took part in the annual conference of the Consortium for Higher Education Research (CHER). The event was hosted by the Institute for Higher Education Management at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business between August 29 and September 1. The theme of the CHER 2023 annual conference was Higher Education Institutions as Change Agents in Society: Perspectives on Adaptation and Impact.

This year the conference gathered about 250 participants from across the world who showcased a selection of about 110 research papers. Ralitsa Dimitrova presented a co-authored paper with Associate Professor Petya Ilieva-Trichkova and Professor DSc Pepka Boyadjieva titled ‘Higher Education as a Public Good and Social Cohesion: A European Comparative Perspective’. The session was part of the Third Mission and Impact thematic track and was chaired by Professor Michael Hölscher. Asen Dimitrov presented his paper ‘Social Esteem as a Form of Recognition in the Experience of Higher Education Students’ in the open track on current topics in higher education. His session was chaired by Professor Jennifer Case.
